Cornelius Buckley was a son of Bartholomew Buckley and Mary Buckley.

Cornelius Buckley and Margaret Bohane married in Kilmichael Catholic Parish on 23rd September 1856.  The Witnesses were Tade Mahony and Kate Lucey.
 

Children were:-

Margaret (Peggy) Buckley, (born in Tooms, baptised 10 Aug 1857 in Kilmichael).  Sponsors: Dan Connor, Johanna Buttimer 

Bartholomew Buckley, (born in Tooms, baptised 18 May 1859 in Kilmichael).  Sponsors: John Gleeson, Joan Buttimer

William Buckley, (baptised 14 May 1861 in Kilmurry, Moviddy, Kilbonane & Cannavee).  Sponsors: John Buttimer, Joanna Kelly.

Kate Buckley, (baptised Dec 1863  in Kilmurry, Moviddy, Kilbonane & Cannavee),  Sponsors: Jerh Connell, Ellen Gleeson.

Death:

Margaret Buckley died on 8 Novenber 1886 at Killumney.  From her death record she was a widow, aged 60 years, a labourer's widow.  Present at her death and the Informant to the Registrar was her daughter-in-law, Kate Buckley of Rathfelane.
