Michael Donovan left West Cork and went to live in Wales where he married. As was usual in that era only the fathers name was recorded on marriage and death certificate details. As a consequence we are uncertain of Michael's mother's name, i.e. John Donovan's wife.
Again Michael was born just before the records in Kilmacabea Parish for baptisms cover so we do not see his baptism where his mother's name would be shown.
