Barnaby Jennings and Catherine Donovan married in the Catholic Parish of Rosscarbery & Lissevard on 27 February 1838.  (Barnaby was recorded as Bernard).  The Marriage Witnesses were Cornelius Donovan and Edward Jennings.

Kate Jennings died at Gortroe on 31 May 1883.  From her death record she was married, aged 67 years, a farmer's wife.  Present at her death and the Informant of it to the Civil Registrar was Anne Jennings, daughter, Gortroe.
Barnabas Jennings died at Gortroe on 20 March 18843.  From his death record he was a widower, aged 75 years, a farmer.  Present at his death and the Informant to the Civil Registrar was Anne Jennings, his daughter, Gortroe.
 

In the Tithe Applotment Books for Gurtroe (note spelling), Kilmacabea in 1829 an Edward Jennings holds 30 acs
