In Griffith's Valuation of Ireland circa 1850 we see that the townland of Moneylea comprising 249 acs 3rds 38 pchs is shared between Julia Ahern, Jeremiah McCarthy and Jeremiah Lynch.  Each has House, offices and land - Jeremiah McCarthy had a house sublet to Daniel McCarthy.

The family moved southwards to Shanacrane.
 

Deaths:

Margaret Lynch died at Shanacrane on 15 Octobr 1900.  From her death record she was married; aged 78 years; wife of Jeremiah Lynch, a farmer; and cause of death was senile decay.  Present at her death and the Informant to the Registrar was Cornelius Lynch, Shanacrane.

Jeremiah Lynch died on 22 October 1900 at Shanacrane.  From his death record he was a widower, aged 84 years, a farmer and cause of death was senile decay.  Present at his death and the Informant to the Registrar was Cornelius Lynch, Shanacrane.

By Census 1911 we see Cornelius Lynch was married to Annie Hurley.
