Owen (Eugene) Neill was a son of William Neill and Mary Dawley (Daly).
Ellen Wholey was a daughter of Timothy Wholey and Mary Brien of Drimoleague Parish.

Owen Neill and Ellen Wholey married in Bantry Catholic Parish on 18 February 1854.  The Witnesses were Jeremiah Wholey and Ellen Collins.
