James Donovan was a son of Timothy Donovan
Honora Carey was a daughter of Timothy Carey and Ellen Hurley.

James Donovan (23) of Castleventry, KIlmeen and Honora Carey (21) of Benduff, Rosscarbery married on 19 January 1878 in the Catholic Church in Rosscarbery.  The Witnesses were James Sullivan and Mary Anne Hurley.

James Donovan died at Tulligee on 4 May 1894.  From his death record he was married, aged 39 years, a labourer.  Present at his death and the Informant of it to the Civil Registrar was Honora Donovan, wife (widow) of Tulligee.
