Michael Burke of Kilmacabea and Johanna Donovan of Ceancullig, Drimoleague married in Drimoleague Catholic Parish on 17 Feb 1849 from the Parish Register.  The Witnesses were John Donovan and Timy Burke.

Michael Burke is listed on the Timy Burke page.
Julia Burke, John Burke, Timothy Burke and Michael Burke were children of Timy Burke and his wife formerly Collins.

Johanna (Joan) Donovan was a daughter of John Donovan and Kate Spillane of Ceancullig, Drimoleague.

The Tithe Applotment Books for Carrigbaun were recorded in 1829.  In the Book we see Timy Burke & Dempsey as tenants of 46 acres.

In Griffith's Valuation for Carrigbaun (Kilmacabea) we see Michael Bourke held tenancies of a House, Offices and small garden.  He also was a tenant of lands totalling 17 acs 3 rds 6 pchs.

Michael was known as a Dairyman and these men rented farm land but often these families moved again to other properties so hence we see children born at different addresses.  At the time of Michael's death in 1874 they lived at Garranes South, Drimoleague where they were living in 1876 when Mary Burke married and still living there in 1878 when Timothy Burke married.
