Jeremiah Carroll and Mary Kelleher married in The Catholic Parish of Macroom, Co. Cork on 27 February 1838.  The Witnesses were Cornelius Hinchin and Ellen Walsh,  The Priest was Rev. K. O'Brien.

Ellen Carroll, 4 October 1842.  Sponsors: Daniel Kelleher, Johanna Carroll

The family moved to Massachusetts, United States in 1849. They lived in Stoughton, Massachusetts from 1849 to about 1866.

About 1866, Jeremiah, Mary, and their sons John and James moved to San Francisco.  Jeremiah died in San Francisco from injuries due to a work accident in 1869.

Later Mary returned alone to Stoughton, MA where she died of Gastritis on 4 March 1898, aged 87 years.


Burials:
Jeremiah was originally buried in Calvary Cemetery in San Francisco, then moved to Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma in San Mateo County, CA in 1927.
Mary is buried in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton, Norfolk County, MA
