Ellen McCarthy was a daughter of Patrick McCarthy

John Griffin, a farmer of Kilgobbin, Ballinadee and Ellen McCarthy of Rathdrought, Ballinadee married on 12 June 1877 in the Catholic Church in Ballinspittle.  The Witnesses were Denis Griffin and Mary McCarthy.
