John O'Donovan was a son of John Donovan and Julia Crowley.
Catherine O'Leary was a daughter of Jeremiah O'Leary and Kate Regan.

John ODonovan of Shonovagh and Catherine OLeary, a cook, of Cnox married in the Catholic Church in Aghyohill (Ahiohill) on Thursday 29 November 1906.  The Witnesses were Michael Collins and Julia O'Leary.

O'DONOVAN (Ballineen) - On October 4, 1952 at her residence, Shanaway, Ballineen, Katherine, dearly beloved wife of John O'Donovan.  Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband and family. R.I.P.  Removal of remains on this (Saturday) evening at 5 o'clock to St. Mary's Church, Enniskeane.  Funeral from St. Mary's Church, Enniskeane to Desert at 3 p.m. to-day (Monday).

O'DONOVAN (Ballineen) - On September 18, 1953, at St. Finbarr's Hospital, Cork, John O'Donovan, late Shanaway, Ballineen, and father of Rev Brother O'Donovan, Christian Brothers, of Greystones.  Deeply regretted by his loving family.
