Mary Hayes was a daughter of Denis Hayes and Mary Hayes of Reenogreena.

Jeremiah Shanahan of Brulea and Mary Hayes of Reenogreena married on 21 ebruary 1882 in the Catholic Church in Kilmacabea.  The Witnesses were Jerry Scully and Jerry Hayes.

Mary Shanahan died at Brulea on 27 October 1931.  From her death record she was a widow, aged 77 years, a farmer's widow.  Present at her death and the Informant to the Civil Registrar was her grandaughter, Kitty Dempsey of Brulea.
