Ellen Donovan was a daughter of John Donovan and Julia Crowley.

John Collins of Teadies, Enniskeane and Ellen Donovan of Shanaway, Ballineen married on 29 April 1905 in the Catholic Church in Enniskeane.  The witnesses were Michael Collins and Anne Donovan.

John Collins died on 9 March 1970 at Teadies.  From his death record he was a widower, aged 94 years, a labourer.  Present at his death and the Informant to the Civil Registrar was Mrs Mary Cosgrave, daughter, Ballineen.
