Mary A. Dromey, 80, of St. James Avenue, died Saturday in Baystate Medical Center. She was head administrative clerk for more than 25 years at the Springfield Registry of Deeds, retiring in 1989. Born and educated in Springfield, she was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and a member of its Over Sixty Club. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart High School Reunion Club. She leaves three nephews, Thomas Dromey Jr. of Kingston, John Dromey of Hull and Philip Dromey of Springfield; and nine nieces, Patricia M. Martin of Westfield, Ellen M. Charest of Worcester, Maureen A. Smith of Hanson, Marguerite M. Vallee of Millbury, Ann Marie Faille of Dudley, Mary Ann Smith of Dudley, Mary Jean Daly of Springfield, Susan Heeter of Anchorage, Alaska, and Kathleen Donovan of Exeter, N.H. The funeral will be Tuesday morning at St. Pierre Springfield Funeral Chapels and in the church, with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the funeral.
