PATRICK DULIN DIES, AGED 84
Native of Ireland Came to America in 1851 Burial Will Be at Clermont, Ia.
Patrick Dulin, a native of Ireland but who had lived in America since 1851, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Mary Clark of 313 Third Street north yesterdsay and the body was taken back to his old home at Clermont, Ia. to be buried beside the body of his wife who died about a year ago. Mr Dulin had resided in this city since February, 1915 when he came here with his daughter following the death of his first wife. His son, D.C. Dulin, of Dalin & Powers, also resides in this city and the only other surviving child is John Dulin of Oskaloosa, Ia.
Mr Dulin was born in County Kerry, Ireland on March 17, 1832 and his parents named him Patrick in honour of the good St. Patrick. He came to America in 1851, going first into the state of Vermont but later to Haverhill, Mass., where he was married to Miss Margaret Donovan, a native of Cork, Ireland. Mr. and Mrs. Dulin left the east for what was then called the west, and settled in Clermont, Ia., where they continued to reside for more than half a century until death took his wife and he broke up his home and came to live with his daughter here. Mr Dulin was always of a sunny disposition and in the short residence in the city he made many friends.
The body was taken in charge by Undertaker T.F. O'Connor yesterday and prepared for burial and at 8 last evening it was taken back to the Clark home where services were conducted by Rev. Fr. D. J. Dineen, chancellor of the diocese. After the sevices the casket was taken to the Great Northern station and sent out on the train east at 10. Mrs Clark returned to Clermont to attend the funeral.
Mr Dulin is survived also by 19 grandchildren, several of whom reside in Great Falls, among them being Charles F. Clark and Hiram Clark of the Charles F. clark company. Miss Margaret Clark, Mrs T.P. Corcoran and Esther, John and Ruth Clark. One great grandson, Valentine Corcoran also resides in this city.
