Jerry Donovan and Julia Donovan married on 28 February 1843 in the Catholic Parish of Kilmacabea in West Cork.  The Witnesses were Denis Donovan and Jerry Crowley.  The earliest records for Kilmacabea Parish are June 1832 so we cannot go back to earlier times.

Death:
Jeremiah Donovan died at Castledonovan on 29 March 1885.  From his death record he was a widower, aged 74 years, a farmer.  Present at his death and the Informant of it to the Civil Registrar was James Neill of Ceancullig.
 

Notes:

In the Tithe Applotment Books for Castledonovan of 1826 we do not see any Donovan surname holding land of over 1 acre.

In Griffith's Valuation of Ireland for Castledonovan we see Donovan names holding various plots of land.
