James Donovan was a son of John Donovan and Bridget Santry.    John Donovan was of the Donovan Bawn clan.
Mary Donovan was a daughter of Patrick Donovan and Mary Donegan.    Patrick Donovan was of the Donovan Nore clan.

James Donovan (24) a farmer of Lisduff and Mary Donovan (20), a farmer's daughter of Dunowen married on 9 February 1865 in the Catholic Church in Ardfield.  The Witnesses were John Donovan and Cornelius Donovan.

James Donovan died at Dunowen, Ardfield on 17 July 1880.  From his death record he was married, aged 38 years, a farmer.  Present at his death and the Informant of it to the Civil Registrar was Mary Donovan, of Dunowen.

Mary Donovan died at Dunowen on 26 February 1909.  From her death record she was a widow, aged 65 years, widow of James Donovan a farmer.  Present at her death and the Informant to the Civil Registrar was Kate Donovan, daughter-in-law of Dunowen.
