James Hayes was a son of Patrick Hayes And Honora McCarthy.

 James Hayes first marriage was to Mary Collins. 

Mary Collins of Cullane was baptised in Kilmacabea Parish on 3 Dec 1859.  Her parents were John Collins and Margaret Barry.  He was a dairyman.

James Hayes and Mary Collins married on 13 February 1892 in KIlmacabea Catholic Church.  The Witnesses were John Collins and Margaret Sullivan.

Kate McCarthy was a daughter of Jeremiah McCarthy and Mary Bourke.

Daniel Donovan was born in Madaranna and baptised in Kilmacabea on 22 Feb 1844.  His parents were Jerry Donovan and Mary Donovan.

Kate McCarthy and Daniel Donovan of Madaranna married on 6 February 1894.

 

Daniel died on 23 March 1894.

 

 Second marriage of James Hayes (widower) and Kate McCarthy (widow). 

 

James Hayes, widower and a farmer from Ballinlough and Catherine McCarthy, a widow of Cashel married in Kilmacabes Catholic Church on 3 February 1898.  The Witnesses were Denis Collins and Nellie White.

Kate Hayes died on 2 April 1930 at Keymore, Leap.  From her death record she was a widow, aged 72 years, a farmer's widow.  Present a her death and the Informant of it to the Civil Registrar was her niece, Julia Sullivan.
