Patrick Mansfield was a son of Thomas Mansfield and Catherine Cleary.

Mary Whooley was a daughter of Cornelius Whooley

Patrick Mansfield (30), a labourer of Clounbuig (Clonbouig) and Mary Whooley of Knockpogue (Knoppoge) married on 6 Feb 1875 in KIlbrittain Catholic Church.  The marriage witnesses were Denis Crowley and Timothy Whooley.

Death:

Patrick Mansfield died on 28 June 1886 at Garranefeen, Kilbrittain.  From his Civil Death Record he was married, aged 44 years, a labourer.  Present at his death and the Informant of it to the Civil Registrar was Mary Mansfield, of Garranefeen, his widow.  Garranefeen townland lies to the South of Kilbrittain village.

Travel to United States:

Mary Mansfield (47) and her son John (23) sailed on the S.S. Ivernia from Queenstown (Cobh) arriving in Boston port on 1 June 1905.  The ship's manifest recorded that both departed from Kilbrittan  going to Mary's son and Patrick's brother John Mansfield living at 30 West 5th Street, South Boston.

MANSFIELD - In South Boston, November 27, Mary (Whooley), beloved wife of the late Patrick Mansfield.  Funeral from the home of her daughter, Mrs Richard Roche, 649 East 4th St., Wednesday, November 30, at 9:30.  Solemn High Mass of Requiem at Gate of Heaven Church at 10 a.m.  Relatives and friends invited.  Member of the Third Order of St. Franccis.
