He married (1) Margaret McDonald, daughter of James McDonald.  

He married (2) Catherine Regan on June 11, 1893 in St Illtyd's Parish, Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorganshire, Wales.  She was born abt. 1870, and died abt. December 23, 1938 in Cefn Coed Hospital.  Burial: December 28, 1938, Pant Cemetery, 9K, Dowlais, Wales.
