He married Gertrude Cecelia Lanahan on July 14, 1908 in St Mary's Church, New Castle, Pennsylvania, daughter of Edward Lanahan and Margaret Lowry.  She was born March 18, 1889 in Leetonia, Ohio. 

She died December 10, 1968 in New Castle, Lawrence County, PA.  Burial: December 13, 1968, St Mary's Cemetery, New Castle, Lawrence County, PA
