Michael was a son of Andrew Mahony & Ellen Calnan
He was born in Grancore, Clonakilty and baptised in Clonakilty on 1st October 1861. The Sponsors were: Js Mahony and Mary Calnan.
It appears he moved to Derrigra, Ballineen and is listed in the 1901 (with his mother Ellen) and 1911 as a lone bachelor. Like many in the Census records we find differing ages!
