Sarah was a daughter of Patrick and Ellen McCarthy
Sarah was born in Drimoleague, Co. Cork on 30th October 1888 and Baptised in Drimoleague on 23rd November 1888 with Sponsors: Robert Morris and Margaret McCarthy.
She entered the Religious life on 8th September 1907 and was First Professed on 3rd June 1910 and her Final Profession was on 29th September 1915 with the name in religion of Sr. Mary of St. Fridigian.
Sarah died in Cork on 2nd May 1935 and is buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Tory Top Road, Cork in St. Laurence's Plot which has a Celtic Cross.
The official title of the congregation is Marie Reparatrice Sisters but more popularly known in Ireland as the Reparation sisters.
