Denis was a son of John Donovan and Margaret Dullea Denis Donovan and Anne Hurley married in Kilmichael Parish on 4th February 1879. The Witnesses were John Callaghan and Jerry Hurley.
They had children as in the 1901 Census and their first child was baptised in Dunmanway Parish.
