James F. Lombard married Margaret Hussey in Dublin in 1844.

James was a son of Roger Lombard & Jane Fitzgerald of Woodville, Gortatlea, Co. Kerry

James Lombard was a major player in the drapery business in Dublin.  He also held key positions in many railway companies and describes himself in the 1901 Census as "Railway Chairman".  He was chairman of the Dublin United Tramways , West and South Clare Railways, and some ten other railway companies including Waterford and Limerick Railway, London Southern Tramways. He was a member of Committee of Dublin Catholic Cemeteries. He was a director of Hibernian Bank, Clery & Co., Arnott & Co., Cannock & Co. He was a prominent member, and on the Council of the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland and keen exhibitor at shows.

He later married Sarah Barry.  Sarah was a daughter of Prof. Michael Barry of Cork

Roger Edward (b. 3 Jun 1878 in Rathmines).  Sponsors: James Fitzgerald Lambard, Hebi Barry.  He later decided to add "Fitzgerald" to his surname and he did this by deed poll on 30 Sept 1908. The Fitzgerald we presume is linking him to his grandmother (father's mother), Jane Fitzgerald.  We see the Fitzgerald-Lombard in the Census of 1911.
 
James Lombard, a widower and Sarah Agnes Dunne, a widow of 14 Hatch Street, Dublin married in the Church of St. Kevin (Harrington St. Parish) on 15 Sept 1896.  The Witnesses were Roger E. Fitzgerald Lombard and Mary Josephine Dunne (Sarah's daughter).
 
Sarah was a daughter of Patrick Keogh & Mary Lawler of Herbert Lane, Dublin.  She was the widow of Joseph Dunne
