Denis Donovan married Ellen Regan on 13 Dec 1848 in RC Parish of Kilmacabea, Co Cork.  The Witnesses were John Collins, Norry Donovan and Mary Crage.  The Parish records for Kilmacabea are only available from June 1832 so we don't have any info on the birth of Denis or Ellen because records do not exist.

Denis was of the "Donovan Donn" clan.

Death:
Denis Donovan died in Maultrahane on 8 Jan 1899.  On his Death Record he was 84 years, a widower, farmer and he died of old age.  Present at his death and the Informant was his son, Patrick of Maulatrahane.
 
Rest in Peace

In Tithe Applotment Books for Maulatrahane complied in 1829 we see a Dens Donovan down held 27 acs of land and a similar amount was held by a Jerh Donovan darig.  There is also a Timy Donovan Rinky holding 15 acs in Maulatrahane.
In Griffith's Valuation shown beneath we see a Denis Donovan sen. and a Denis Donovan jun holding land.

From Griffith's Valuation we see a Denis Donovan, jun. was the tenant of Plot 4 comprising House, offices and land of 14 acs 2 rds 18 pchs.

Also a Denis Donovan, sen. was the tenant of Plot 2 comprising of House, Offices and land of 35acs 0 rds 3 pchs.
