William Andrew Driscoll, 75, died August 3, 2012 in Antioch, CA.  Bill was born in San Francisco on December 23, 1936; the son of the late Stephen and Mary E. Cottrell Driscoll of Co Cork, Ireland and step-son of the late Margaret Crowley Driscoll. {born 01 Apr 1899 in Coolmountain}
 
Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janet "Jan" Kennealy Driscoll, brother Steve Driscoll (Edie), sisters/brother-in-laws Sue Driscoll, Rich Kennealy and Grace Kennealy Huelsmann (Barney), nieces and nephews Mary Driscoll Bastion, Steve Driscoll, Anne Driscoll Mink, Gary Kennealy, Lynn Kennealy Freeman, Steve Huelsmann and Deanna Huelsmann Nyberg as well as many loving cousins in CA, on the East Coast and in Ireland. Bill was predeceased by his brothers Rev. James Driscoll and Robert Driscoll. He was a graduate of Mission Dolores Grade School and Sacred Heart High School, Class of 1954. After many jobs, including working at Shreve's, Bill started Driscoll's Furniture in San Francisco from 1963-1968. He owned and operated Concord Auction Studio from 1968-1997 when he began Concord Auction Services as an Estate Appraiser until 2008.
 
Bill was a member of the Irish Pipers Band of S.F. for many years; founder of Irish Heritage Pipe Band in 1982-2000 and founder of Irish Tradition Pipe Band in 2000-2008. He played Bagpipes at many functions including parades, parties, weddings, funerals, and for Napa Police Academy Graduating Classes. Bill was a member of the United Irish Cultural Center and Comhaltas Ceolt#243;ir#237; #201; Ireann. As a young man, Bill played baseball for the Filmore Merchants, football and boxed for Columbia Park Boys Club. In retirement he played softball for senior teams in Concord and the Walnut Creek "Creakers".
 
Funeral Mass was on Monday, August 13th, at 11am at Ouimet Bros. Funeral Chapel. Interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Lafayette.
