From the Canada Census of 1891 and 1901 we find

Daniel was born in 1858 in Prince Edward Island. His ethniticy was Irish and a Roman Catholic. He was son of Peter & Elizabeth Knowlan

Elizabeth born 1 June 1862 in Ireland from the 1891 Census but in 1901 it says PEI.

We note from the Marriage Record of their daughter, Mary A below, that her parents are given as Daniel C Nolan and Elizabeth Mcdonald. Click here to see link It is possible that Elizabeth would be a daughter of Joseph McDonald & Elizabeth Murray
