James Donovan and Mary Callaghan of Maulnagirra, Leap married in Kilmacabea RC Parish on 20 Apr 1850.  The Witnesses were Denis Callaghan and Ellen Donovan.

James is a landowner in Griffith's Valuation (see below).
The Kilmacabea Parish records are only available after 1832 and James and Mary would most likely have been baptised before that date.

These Donovans were of the Donovan Scartagh (Skorta) clan - meaning courageous
