													Daniel Donovan was a son of Daniel Donovan & Ellen Connolly of Minanes, Drinagh, Co. Cork, born 1 April 1887.

													In the U.S. Census of 1920 we see Daniel is a Roomer (Boarder) at 313 West 47th Street.  He is single and works as a motorman for the Street Railway.

													In U.S. Census 1940 we see Daniel residing at 635 West 17th Street, Manhattan, New York.  He is 52 years and Single.  He lived in the same place on 1 April 1935.  He is an apartment caretaker. 
												
													  
												
													Daniel (53) remained single and died on 14 Aug 1943.  He was buried on 17 August 1943 in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, New York. His brother Denis, who died in 1962 is buried there too. Their grave is in Calvary 3, Section 19, Range 16, Plot CC, Grave number 24.  This grave was purchased by Dennis in 1943 and he is still the registered owner in 2014.

													From Daniel's Death Certificate we read that he lived in New York for 30 years and his last residence was at 78 West 94th Street.  He was single and a pipe fitter in the U.S. Navy Yard.  The Cert gives his father as Daniel and his mother's maiden name as Ellen Connolly.  He died at Cumberland Hospital, NY on the morning of 14 Aug 1943 due to coronary thrombosis. 
												
													His brother, Dennis of 150 W 105th St was next of kin and the informant of the death to the Registrar. 
												
													The Funeral Director was Joseph T Kennedy Funeral Chapel Inc., 981 Amsterdam Avenue. 
												
													  
												
												
													  
												
													The cemetery was consecrated by Archbishop John Hughes in August 1848. The 365 acres have been subdivided into 71 numbered and identified sections. A major chapel is located in the cemetery.
