John Patrick Bonner and Anna Marie Donovan married in Dec 1944
WAVES (Women in the Navy) were not allowed to marry, so Anna Marie was subsequently out of uniform and out of work. She and John rented a small bungalow style house in a San Diego neighbourhood called Normal Heights. John Patrick died on August 1, 1946, in a post-war Navy plane crash at the Navy airfield in San Diego. He was still on his WWII enlistment, and was 26 years old. He was posthumously awarded three Air Medals and a Purple Heart for action in the South Pacific. He was buried in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline, MA.
John and Anna had one daughter, Barbara Ann, born 10 weeks before his untimely death in 1946.

John J Ford died in Holbrook on 6 Nov 1999. Interred in Union Cemetery, Holbrook Anna (nee Donovan) was interred in Union Cemetery, Holbrook, MA in 2007.
