In U.S. Census 1940 we see Dennis (52) is single and a lodger at 6615 Fresh Pond Road, Queens, NY. He lived there too in 1935. He worked 48 hours / week and worked 52 weeks in 1939. He worked as a Motorman with the Elevated Rail Road.
In the WWII Registration Card we see Dennis is at 150 West 105th Street and his place of birth is Drinagh, Ireland

Dennis (72) was admitted to Frances Schervier Home and Hospital on 5 Jan 1961 when he had an address at 2 West 106th Street, New York. He was single. His next of kin was Christopher J Prehn of 157 Garrison Ave, Staten Island, New York.
He died in hospital at 6.55pm on 14 July 1962 and was buried on 19 July 1962 in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, New York. His brother Daniel who pre-deceased him in 1943 is buried there too. Dennis, living at 150 West 105th Street, was given as next of kin in Daniel's Death Cert. Their grave is in Section 19, Range 16, Plot CC, Grave number 24.

He had worked as an elevator operator in an apartment block. Like his brother we note that the funeral was handled by Joseph T Kennedy Funeral Chapel, 981 Amsterdam Avenue, New York 25, NY. The Informant of the death of Dennis was his nephew, Christopher, who resided at 157 Garrison Avenue, Staten Island, New York.
The cemetery was consecrated by Archbishop John Hughes in August 1848. The 365 acres have been subdivided into 71 numbered and identified sections. A major chapel is located in the cemetery.
