Daniel Hurly (Hurley) and Ellen Cane (Keane) married prior to the available records in the Parish.  We have details of children born in Maulagow, Drinagh in the Roman Catholic Parish of Drimoleague from 1818 onwards.  Records of any children born prior to that date are not available.  However it is very likely that at least one daughter was born before 1818 and she could be Ann Hurley who married William Donovan.

In the Tithe Applotment of 1833 for Maulagow we note that Hurley families are tenants in the total townland.  Daniel Hurly Senr would appear to be the father of Daniel Junior born in 1818.
