James Donovan was a son of Cornelius Donovan and Catherine Hurley
Catherine Mahony was a daughter of Daniel Mahony and Annie Lynch.


James Donovan and Catherine Mahony married the Cloghroe Catholic Church on 17 July 1900.  The Witnesses were Dan McAuliff and Lizzie O'Callaghan.

Deaths:
Kate Donovan died at Temple Hill on 4 April 1928.  From her death record she was married, aged 52 years, wife of a tailor.  Present at her death and the Informant of it to the Civil Registrar was Kitty Donovan, daughter, of Temple Hill.
James Donovan died on 31 March 1950 at the Mercy Hospital, Cork.  From his death record he was from Lackenshoneen, a widower, retired tailor and old age pensioner.
Death announcement on The Cork Examiner of April 1, 1950:
O'DONOVAN (Inniscarra) - On March 31, 1950, at the Mercy Hospital, James O'Donovan, (Tailor), late of Leemount, Carrigrohane. Deeply regretted.  R.I.P.  Removal of remains on this (Saturday) evening at 7 o'clock to SS Peter and Paul's Church.  Funeral on to-morrow (Sunday) to Inniscarra.
