Helena (Eileen) Daly was a daughter of Patrick Daly and Honora Sullivan of Deelish, Drimoleague
Patrick Brennan and Helena Daly married on 17 July 1935 in the Catholic Church in Clogheen, Cork. The marriage witnesses were Patrick O'Regan and Lizzie O'Driscoll. The Priest was Thomas (Tom V.) Daly who was born in Derrynagree East, Drimoleague and he had an older brother, Patrick Daly, who was also a Priest.
Interesting that Helena signed her name using the Irish version on the Marriage Register
The family lived in Meenies (Moyny), Drimoleague and had two daughters named Cáit Brennan and Nora (Dolly) Brennan.
Deaths:
Eileen Brennan died at Meenies, Drimoleague on 27 February 1945. From her death record she was married, aged 46 years, a farmer's wife. Present at her death and the Informant to the Registrar was Patrick Brennan, her husband.
Patrick Brennan's death notice on the Cork Examiner dated 18 July 1979, page 2:
"BRENNAN (Drimoleague and Bracknell) - On July 13, 1979, at Bracknell, Patrick (Paddy), youngest son of the late Patrick and Kate Brennan, Meenies, Drimoleague. Deeply regretted by his loving daughters, sons-in-law, and sisters. R.I.P. Removal on this (Wednesday) evening at 9.30 p.m. from Daly's Funeral Home, East End, Drimoleague, to All Saints' Church. Requiem Mass on tomorrow (Thursday) at 3.00 p.m. Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery."
