Death:
Patrick Daly died at Deelish on 4 August 1943. From his death record he was a widower, aged 76 years, an old age pensioner. Present at his death and the Informant to the Registrar was his son, Timothy Daly, Deelish.
From the Cork Examiner of 5 August 1943 we read his death notice: "DALY (Drimoleague) - On August 4, 1943, at his residence Deelish, Drimoleague, Patrick (Patsy) Daly. R.I.P. Removal of remains on this day, Thursday, at 5 o'clock to St. Finbarr's Church, Drimoleague. Interment at 2 o'clock on tomorrow (Friday), in adjoining cemetery"
From the Cork Examiner of 6 August 1943 we read his death notice: "DALY (Drimoleague) - On August 4, 1943, at his residence Deelish, Drimoleague, Patrick (Patsy) Daly. R.I.P. Funeral from St Finbarr's Church, Drimoleague for adjoining cemetery on today, Friday, at 2 p.m."
