George Murphy was a son of John Murphy and Ann (Susie) Winn. George was born in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny on 3 Jan 1890. Margaret Cleary was a daughter of John Cleary and Catherine Donovan of West Cork, Ireland (Catherine's 2nd marriage)
Margaret Cleary travelled to the US on the S.S. Laconia departing Queenstown (now Cobh), County Cork on 1 October 1913 and arriving in Boston on 9 October 1913. On the ship's manifest Margaret was going to her brother, Cors Cleary at 116 Wilson St., Bostion. Her nearest relative in Clonakilty was her father, John Cleary (Oliver Street was a little misspelt obviously)
Marriage:
George Murphy (27) of Walpole and Margaret Cleary (25) married in Rosindale on 11 April 1917 at Rosindale, Massachusetts.
