Deaths:
William Buckley died at Rearour on 24 September 1938 according to the State Deth Register. It states he was married, aged 67 years, a cottier. Present at his death and the Informant to the Registrar was his son, Daniel Buckley, Rearour.
Death announcement from the Cork Examiner of Monday 26 Sepember 1938:
"BUCKLEY (Rearour) - On September 24, 1938 at his residence, Rearour, Aherla, William Buckley. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife and family. R.I.P. Funeral from Cloughduv Church on this day (Monday), at 3 o'clock for Kilbonane"
Kate Buckley died at Shinagh, Bandon on 28 December 1945. From her death record she was a widow, aged 85 years, domestic. Present at her death and the Informant to the Registrar was Chrissie Hennessy, granddaughter of deceased, of Shinagh, Bandon.

Michael Tuohig of Kilbonane school wrote: "My home district is Rearour. It is in the parish of Kilmurry, and in the barony of Muskerry. There are eleven families in it. The amount of people that are in it now are fifty two. There are four people over seventy. Two men and two women. The two men and one woman can speak Irish. The names are - Denis Kelleher, William Buckley, Mrs. Neville, Mrs Buckley. There living in Rearour, Aherla, Co. Cork. All the houses are slated. They are built with mortar and big stones. Others are with cement blocks. Rearour is between two rivers the eastern and western sides. The meaning of the word "Rearour" is Broad expanse. It is sloping district." Michael Tuohig stated that he got the information from Mr. William Buckley, Rearour, Aherla, Co. Cork.
