John Donovan was a son of Daniel Donovan
Margaret Buckley was a daughter of Cornelius Buckley and Margaret Bohane.

John Donovan of Knockavilla, Innishannon and Margaret Buckley of Ballygroman, Ovens married in the Catholic Church in Ovens on 15 January 1879.  The Witnesses were Pat Desmond and Maggie Bohane.

Margaret Donovan died at Lisheens, Ballincollig on 18 October 1947.  From her death record she was a widow, aged 79 years, widow of a farm labourer.  Present at her death and the Informant to the Civil Registrar was Katie Donovan, daughter-in-law of Lisheens, Ballincollig.
