Deaths and Obituaries:
James B Collins died on 15 September 1927 and Mary Collins died on 4 June 1945.
James B Collins died at his home at Lattington on September 15. Не was born in Ireland but had spent a large part of his life in Milton. Besides his wife he is survived by four daughters. Mrs. Chris Miller, Miss Mary Collins and Miss Julia Collins of Milton, and Mrs. Richard Walsh of New York, and a son, John, of Brook lyn.
MRS COLLINS, 96 DIES IN MILTON
Mrs. Mary O'Brien Collins, widow of the late James B. Collins died at her home Friday, June 4th, age 96 years after an illness of a few days.
Born in Ireland on December 25, 1846, daughter of Patrick and Catherine Hayes O'Brien, she had lived in Milton for seventy-eight years and was a member of St. James Church.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Richard Walsh, New York, Mrs. Chris Miller. Milton, the Misses Mary and Julia Collins at home: one son, John of Brook-lyn; one brother, Patrick O'Brien, Milton; three sisters, Mrs. Patrick McGowan, Lattingtown, Mrs. Philip Kennedy and Mrs. Julia Vandlor. Newburgh: also four grandchildren.
Pall bearers were nephews - John and Edward McGowan, James Collins and Dennis O'Brien, and John Y. Kaley and Eugene Colombo.
The funeral was held at nine thirty from the late home and at ten o'clock from St. James' church where a High Mass of Requiem was offered by Rev. Joseph Crew. Burlal was in St. Mary's cemetery at Lattingtown under the direction of J. Perry Woolsey.
