Timothy Hayes and Bridget Brien married on 24 January 1856 in Drimoleague Catholic Parish. The Witnesses were Michael Connolly and Margaret Brien.

Note: It was normal in that era that a child was baptised within a day or two of being born and indeed if the birth was early then the baptism may take place that day. It is not uncommon to find a significant difference between a birth date on the State Register and the Baptism date in the Chuurch Register. The birth was often registered several weeks after the event and I tend to take the baptism date as being the more reliable. The above Timothy has a baptism date of 23 Aug 1868 and a birth date on the State Register as 17 Oct 1868.

Death:
Timothy Hayes died at Castle Street, Dunmanway, Co. Cork on 16 March 1903. From his death record he was married, aged 71 years. His widow, Bridget Hayes of Castle Street was the Informant of his death.
Bridget Hayes died in Castle Road, Bandon on 7 May 1903. From her death record she was a widow, aged 72 years, the widow of a labourer. Present at her death and the Informant to the Registrar was Mary Cummins, her daughter of Castle Road, Bandon.
